What to do with old family photos in albums or shoeboxes, stacks of slides, cassettes, film and videotape from over the years? For many people, the journey starts with conversion of these legacy media to digital formats. We’ll work with you one-on-one to find the best approach for your particular materials; we’ll scan them ourselves—in your own home when feasible—or refer you to appropriate vendors as needed. And we’ll help you find a place to keep the digital versions safe and accessible.
The journey continues with curation—the often overlooked but vitally important work of sifting, sorting, selecting and storytelling. This applies to old and new media alike: Even “born digital” media such as the photos in your smartphone will benefit from thoughtful care, in order to have real value to you and those who’ll want to know your story.
